The crime rate in Chicago is the highest among males and females within the age groups 17-25 and 26-35, with the majority being male victims.

Your whole life should be an opportunity to grow and constantly elevate. I believe we are here to learn and love. Our young years (childhood, teen, young adult) are for us to figure things out. This is the time in your life when you make mistakes. How can you grow and learn if your journey is cut short.

It saddens me that the children have to live as if there is no tomorrow. It seems as though they can't see anything further than what could end up being a minor moment in life. My hope for Chicago is that it can become a place where the inner city youth can look forward to their future. Great futures. There are many organizations that are doing their parts and doing a great job at helping the youth in a range of different areas. I'd like to do my part as well, so LakeAndWest is donating a percentage of the proceeds from the purchase of items in the Dedicated to Chicago collection to community organizations geared towards our youth.

We also have our own initiatives we’ll be rolling out to assist with the betterment of our lovely city, our individual communities and the world overall. Peace.
